Private Corfu food and sea experiences · 2026
Plan a private day at sea with beautiful swimming stops, fresh local fish, Corfu wines and a carefully arranged meal with experienced fishermen, selected cooks and traditional seaside restaurants.
Direct answer
Yes. A private boat trip in Corfu can be planned around swimming, coastal sightseeing and a food experience. Depending on the selected vessel, route, season and availability, Messonghi Travel Center can coordinate a fresh-fish meal, local Corfu wine, a stop at a traditional seaside taverna, a pre-arranged restaurant menu or a fishing-focused experience with experienced local fishermen. Every menu, restaurant reservation, fishing arrangement, dietary request and additional cost is confirmed in writing before the trip.
Choose the atmosphere
The experience should be chosen before departure because the route, timing, restaurant access, onboard facilities and food preparation requirements can affect the final boat and itinerary.
Cruise to a coastal village or sheltered bay and stop for lunch at a selected traditional taverna or restaurant. The reservation and menu can be coordinated in advance so your group knows what is included and how much time is available ashore.
For suitable vessels, a light meal, seafood platter, snacks, fruit, drinks or a special celebration menu may be arranged onboard. The available menu depends on the boat’s galley, refrigeration, crew, route and service plan.
Subject to season, weather and availability, we can cooperate with experienced local fishermen for a fishing-focused day. Fishing method, equipment, duration, catch policy and any meal arrangements must be agreed before booking.
Fresh from the Ionian
Fresh fish is one of the most memorable additions to a Corfu boat trip, but the experience must be planned realistically. The day’s catch, restaurant supply, season, harbour access and preparation time can all affect what is available.
Rather than promising one exact fish in advance, we coordinate with selected restaurants, cooks or fishermen and confirm the proposed menu before departure. Depending on availability, this may include grilled fish, seafood, prawns, octopus, calamari, shellfish, local meze, salads, vegetables and traditional Greek side dishes.
“The strongest culinary boat day is not only about the menu. It is about matching the right route, swimming stops, restaurant access and timing so the whole experience feels relaxed.”
Corfu and Greek wine
Wine can be arranged as part of a restaurant menu or onboard drinks package where appropriate. Exact labels and quantities are confirmed before booking.
A crisp Greek or Corfu white wine can pair naturally with grilled fish, seafood, salads and light meze. The final selection depends on restaurant availability or the agreed onboard drinks list.
Rosé is a popular choice for warm-weather cruising, fruit, light seafood and social occasions. It can also suit birthdays, anniversaries and private celebrations.
The captain’s safety decisions always come first. Alcohol service must remain appropriate for sea conditions, swimming activity and the return journey.
Tell us whether the trip is for a honeymoon, proposal, anniversary, birthday or private event. We can discuss wine, sparkling wine, a cake, flowers, music and a suitable menu, subject to the vessel’s rules and written confirmation.

Local fishing knowledge
A fishing-focused trip is different from a standard sightseeing charter. The right boat, equipment, departure time, fishing area, weather and group expectations need to be checked before confirmation.
Messonghi Travel Center cooperates with experienced local fishermen for selected private experiences. Depending on the arrangement, the trip may focus on learning local techniques, enjoying time at sea, combining fishing with swimming or coordinating a meal after the fishing activity.
We do not guarantee a catch. Fishing is affected by season, sea conditions, location and natural factors. The fisherman or captain controls the method, equipment, safe operating area and any catch policy.
Route and dining combinations
The best route depends on the vessel, embarkation point, weather, cruising time, restaurant access and whether the priority is swimming, sightseeing, fishing or dining.
A relaxed coastal itinerary may combine Messonghi, Boukari, Petriti or nearby bays with swimming and a selected seaside restaurant. This can be practical for guests staying in South or South-east Corfu.
A private mainland-facing route can include clear-water swimming, sheltered coves and a meal in or near Sivota, subject to berth access, route timing and restaurant availability.
A full-day private charter can combine sea caves, swimming and island scenery. A restaurant stop may be possible when it fits the confirmed itinerary, vessel, harbour access and safe return time.
A shorter custom route can prioritise swimming, a long lunch and a relaxed pace. This is often more suitable when food and social time matter more than covering the greatest distance.

Questions before booking
Every culinary arrangement is subject to the selected boat, route, season, weather, restaurant access and availability.

Usually, when the chosen route, vessel, harbour access and timing allow it. The restaurant and reservation should be agreed before departure rather than selected at the last moment.
Yes. Local or Greek wine may be included in a restaurant menu or agreed drinks package. Exact labels, quantities and additional costs are confirmed in writing.

No. Fishing depends on natural conditions, season, sea state and location. The fisherman or captain controls the fishing method, safe operating area and catch policy.
This may be possible only when agreed in advance and allowed by the fishing arrangement, catch policy, local rules, restaurant and food-safety requirements. It should never be assumed automatically.

Only the services stated in the written charter offer are included. A restaurant meal, special seafood menu, wine package, catering or fishing arrangement may carry an additional cost.
A shorter custom Corfu coastal route is often more relaxed when dining is the priority. Paxos, Antipaxos or Sivota may also include a meal when the route, harbour access and return time allow it.
Book early for summer, weekends, large groups and special menus. The boat, fisherman, restaurant, cook and menu may all need separate availability checks.
